This beautiful coin, issued on behalf of the Isle of Man, depicts Buckingham Palace, the home of the British Monarchy. The design features the principal façade – the East front of the Palace with the gates open, which is most familiar to the public. The balcony here always plays a principal part of any historic royal event and the Royal Wedding next year will be no exception with thousands of people flocking there to see the newly married couple appear on the balcony following their much anticipated wedding. This special coin will carry the initials ‘W&K’ entwined as a Privy Mark to celebrate the Royal Engagement. The obverse of the coin bears a fine effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Lord of Man, by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
